Xbox has announced the upcoming release of four games on other consoles: Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves. These games are set to be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and 4 on various release dates.
The decision to bring these titles to non-Xbox consoles is part of Xbox’s effort to reach a wider audience and maximize sales. Phil Spencer provided some context clues about the games in a recent announcement.
According to Spencer, all four games have reached their full potential on Xbox and are now being offered to new audiences on other platforms. He also noted that Grounded and Sea of Thieves support cross-play for players on all of their platforms.
These multi-platform releases are an exciting opportunity for more players to experience these games on different platforms. However, Xbox has confirmed that upcoming exclusives Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will not be available on other platforms.
