On Wednesday morning, Sony unveiled the February additions to the PlayStation Plus Premium and Essential, exciting RPG fans with thirteen new games hitting the service on February 20. One of the most anticipated games is The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, the complete version of a fantastic sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment.
The Outer Worlds originally released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in October 2019, and the Spacer’s Choice Edition gave the RPG a next-gen upgrade in March 2023. The game is set in a dystopian spacefaring future where corporations reign supreme, and players make choices that shape the narrative as they navigate conflicts in the Halcyon system. With entertaining writing and plenty of flexibility for player choices, it’s widely considered one of the best RPGs of recent years.
Although it’s already available on Xbox Game Pass due to Obsidian Entertainment’s ownership by Microsoft, RPG fans on PlayStation should definitely play The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition in anticipation of its sequel.
