Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series has been well-received, with all three phones establishing themselves as some of the best smartphones of 2024. However, not everyone has been satisfied with Samsung’s latest offering.
Since the release of the Galaxy S24, there have been numerous complaints online about the handsets having “dull” and “bland” screens. Fortunately, Samsung has announced a fix for this issue.
On February 14, Samsung stated in a blog post, “Based on your feedback, through an upcoming update, we aim to provide enhanced options and experiences across the device display and camera, enabled by advanced hardware and software integration efforts.”
As of now, every Galaxy S24 phone has two screen color options: Vivid and Natural. With the upcoming update, Samsung is adding an “Advanced settings” toggle that will enable users to manually adjust the RGB values for the screen’s white balance, in addition to a new vividness slider.
In our own experience, we have not found the Galaxy S24 screen to be “dull” or “bland”. However, a fix is on the way for those who have experienced such issues. Samsung says the update is rolling out in February, so affected users should expect the update soon.
