Inkulinati, the debut title of Polish indie developer Yaza Games and publisher Daedalic Entertainment, is set to launch on February 22, 2024.
Inspired by Medieval manuscripts, Inkulinati lets players bring doodles from the margins to life using “living ink.” Players must command their army wisely in this turn-based strategy game, which offers plenty of strategic depth with over 50 beasts, their passive skills, and player hand actions to consider.
Inkulinati features both single player and multiplayer modes, offering puzzle-like challenges in the single player campaign (Journey Mode), and head-to-head matches in Duel Mode that support couch co-op, Steam remote play, or AI opponents. The game also provides the option to recreate scenarios in Duel mode for practice.
While Inkulinati prioritizes historical accuracy (consulting with a medievalist), the game has a lighthearted tone inspired by Monty Python and faithfully recreates 700-plus-year-old fart jokes from Medieval manuscripts.
