Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. It challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. The game resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Like Wordle, players can keep track of their streaks and compare scores with friends.
If you’re facing difficulty with today’s Connections puzzle, check out the tips and hints below. If needed, the answers for today’s puzzle are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series, colors, or other themes.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players have the option to shuffle the grid for better visualization of potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest and purple being the most challenging. Selecting four words and hitting “Submit” reveals the theme connecting them. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with players allowed only four mistakes before the game ends.
