Heroic asserted their dominance in Group C by comfortably defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas in a convincing 2-0 series. The first map, Dust2, showcased a 13-2 victory for Heroic, setting the tone for the series. Despite a more competitive second map, NiP couldn’t match Heroic’s level of play.
NiP faced challenges from the start, with maxster sidelined due to medical reasons. We wish him a speedy recovery. In his absence, jocab stepped up for NiP, but Heroic’s degster, TeSeS, and kyxsan outshined the competition. Heroic’s superior individual skills justified their status as the favorites in the group.
Legacy Falls to Imperial in Close Battle
In the elimination match of Group C, Legacy clashed with Imperial in a thrilling Brazilian showdown, with Imperial emerging victorious in a tight 2-1 series. The narrow 13-11 scoreline in the final two maps reflected the intensity of the matchup. Despite being eliminated early, Legacy displayed commendable performance, hinting at their potential in the upcoming Major Americas RMR.
Imperial’s Argentinian player, try, played a key role in their victory with an impressive performance across all three maps. His impact overshadowed the rest, including decenty’s standout showing on Mirage. With this win, Imperial joins the ranks of Group winners in the Thunderpick WC 2024, alongside 3DMAX and The MongolZ. Tomorrow, the final group winner will be determined as BIG, Aurora, M80, and BESTIA battle it out in Group D.
