VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan Split 1: Format, Teams, and More
The VALORANT Challengers Japan is a unique event. Teams had to qualify for the tournament through an open qualifier held between Jan. 22 and 24 this year. The open qualifiers were double-bracket events, and the winner of the grand final secured a spot in the VCT Challengers Japan Split 1.

The Challengers Japan Split 1 2024 will consist of two stages: the league and the group stage. The league stage will be held from Feb. 3 to March 10, with each team facing each other in a best-of-three series in a single round-robin format.
The top two teams from the league stage will qualify for the upper bracket final in the playoffs, while teams ranked third to sixth will play in the lower bracket quarterfinals.
The playoffs stage of the VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 1 2024 will take place from March 12 to 31. The lower bracket final and grand final will be played offline, with a prize of ¥2,000,000 ($13,479) for the winning team and a split for the top four teams.
