Connections is the newest puzzle game offered by the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words are related to each other. Each puzzle resets at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.

How to play Connections
In Connections, you will be presented with a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, etc.
Some words may seem to fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. You have the ability to shuffle and rearrange the word grid to help visualize the potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to solve, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed from the grid and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
