Prepare to relive the nostalgia as another classic Rare Nintendo 64 game, Banjo-Tooie, is set to join Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on October 25, as announced by Nintendo.
In a new trailer released by the company, it was revealed that Banjo-Tooie will be available with a new widescreen mode for a better gaming experience on larger screens.
Building upon the success of Banjo Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie offers more puzzles, improved graphics, expansive game worlds, and multiplayer modes, making it a highly anticipated addition to the online service.
Notably, this game marked the end of Rare’s partnership with Nintendo before being acquired by Microsoft in 2002. The addition of Banjo-Tooie to the platform follows the inclusion of other iconic N64 titles like GoldenEye 007 and Banjo Kazooie.
Players with the Expansion Pack membership can also access other N64 classics such as Mario Kart 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and various Mario Party titles. Additionally, the service offers Super NES, Game Boy, NES, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Genesis games for a diverse gaming experience.
While the standard Nintendo Switch Online subscription costs $20 per year, the Expansion Pack with additional titles costs $50 per year, providing an extensive library of retro games for avid gamers. Don’t miss out on this exciting update coming in October 2024.
