A second emote inspired by Sabrina Carpenter recently made its way to the Fortnite Item Shop. The emote, named Caffeinated, features a dance choreographed to Carpenter’s popular song “Espresso.” However, after facing backlash from fans who were disappointed with a slightly altered version of the song in the emote, Epic Games decided to remove it from the shop. The rest of the bundle, which includes Carpenter’s Sonic Surfer emote and two Jam Tracks, remains available.

Epic Removes Fortnite Caffeinated Emote
According to leaker ShiinaBR, Epic Games made the decision to remove the Caffeinated emote. For now, players cannot purchase it anymore. The initial disappointment stemmed from the emote featuring a slightly altered version of the “Espresso” song, rather than the original chart-topping version by Carpenter.
Although some players still bought the emote, the backlash prompted Epic Games to act swiftly. Fortnite Status has confirmed that the emote will return but did not specify a timeline. It is likely that Epic will either replace the song with the correct version of “Espresso” or offer players a choice between the two versions.
In response to the backlash, Epic may allow players who purchased the initial emote to refund it for free, even without a refund ticket. Those who bought the emote will likely receive a notification from Epic once it returns to the Item Shop, giving them the option to keep or refund it.
While there is no specific timeline provided, Epic Games is expected to address the issue promptly and offer a resolution to satisfy fans of Sabrina Carpenter and Fortnite.
