Exciting news for Mario Party fans! The latest installment in the franchise, Mario Party Jamboree, is now available and offers an abundance of boards, characters, and minigames. This edition is the most expansive yet and serves as a fitting conclusion to the series’ successful run on the Switch.
While there’s a lot to uncover by playing the game, dedicated Mario Party enthusiasts may seek to unlock additional content quickly. Unlocking new characters and boards in Jamboree is fortunately a straightforward process and can be achieved without much difficulty.
How to unlock characters in Super Mario Party Jamboree
When you first start playing Jamboree, you’ll notice two mystery characters on the selection screen. Unlike previous Mario Party games that required extensive gameplay or minigame sessions to unlock new characters, Jamboree simplifies the process. You can immediately unlock new characters by following a specific method.
How to unlock Pauline
Pauline, known from the arcade game Donkey Kong and as the mayor of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey, can be unlocked by locating her on a small sandbar between the Mario Party island and Minigame Bay. Zoom in, interact with her, and she will become a playable character.
How to unlock Ninji
Ninji, a recurring enemy in the Mario universe, can be found on a pair of islands behind the Rhythm Kitchen building. Zoom in, interact with Ninji, and they will join as a playable character.
How to unlock every board in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Upon starting Jamboree, you have access to four playable boards: Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party, Rainbow Galleria, Goomba Lagoon, and Roll ’em Raceway. Three additional boards, including Western Land, Mario’s Rainbow Castle, and King Bowser’s Keep, are initially hidden but can be spotted on the map.
Unlocking these extra boards involves playing games, leveling up, and progressing along Jamboree’s Rewards track. By completing achievements and playing the game, you can unlock the new boards at the following ranks:
