Astro Bot developers Team Asobi shared exciting news about new speedrun levels on Wednesday. The first of these challenges, Building Speed, will be available on Thursday.
Studio director Nicolas Doucet announced that a new speedrun level will be released each week at 6 a.m. PT. Here’s the schedule:
- October 17: Building Speed
- October 24: Let it Slide
- October 31: Spring-loaded Run
- November 7: Helium Heights
- November 14: Rising Heat
Building Speed involves flying and crashing through a city with the help of Barkster, a bulldog companion. Players must dash, smash, run on walls, and navigate through crates to earn a high score.
These challenges aim to test platforming skills, with an online leaderboard to track player performance. Team Asobi responded to player feedback by adding new content and surprises to enhance the game experience.
Additionally, 10 new character cameos will be introduced, featuring hidden PlayStation character bots, including Eve from Stellar Blade and a helldiver from Helldivers 2. Two new characters will be added in each speedrun level, providing a fresh challenge for players.
