The highly anticipated new VALORANT esports season is just around the corner, and fans are eagerly looking forward to watching professional VALORANT once again. The VCT LOCK//IN, which traditionally kicks off the season, is not taking place this year. Instead, the opening tournament for each partnership league will mark the start of the season. In this article, we will be diving into the VCT EMEA Kickoff 2024, scheduled to take place from Feb. 20 to March 1. Setting the stage for the rest of the year, the stakes are high with two slots in the VCT Masters Madrid up for grabs.

The VCT EMEA Kickoff will feature all the partnered teams in the region. This year, 11 teams will be competing, including last year’s Ascension champions, Gentle Mates, who have ascended to the VCT EMEA. The teams participating in the upcoming VCT EMEA Kickoff Tournament are:
– FUT Esports
– Team Heretics
– GIANT X

What is the VCT EMEA 2024 Kickoff Format?
The VCT EMEA Kickoff will follow the same format as the other partnered leagues. It will be split into three stages: the group stage, play-in, and the playoffs. The group stage will see teams divided into three groups, with one group having just three teams. The winners from the groups will move on to the playoffs, while the second-placed teams will compete in the play-in stage. The play-in stage will feature a single round-robin format, with the winner advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs will then see the four teams compete in a single-elimination bracket to determine the champions.
Where to watch the tournament?
The VCT EMEA Kickoff 2024 will take place between Feb. 20 and March 1 at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. Fans can catch all the action live from the comforts of their home on the EMEA region’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
