Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by determining their relationships. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to group them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could range from video game titles to ways to wear your hair up.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the words to assist in identifying connections.
Each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the connecting theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
