A new iPad mini is on the horizon, with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicating that a next-generation model is set to be announced and released in the next few weeks. The seventh-generation iPad mini 7 is expected to be unveiled towards the end of this month and potentially ship on Friday, November 1, marking an end to the three-year wait for a new iPad mini.
While details about the new iPad mini are scarce, speculations suggest it will likely feature the Apple M2 chip seen in the iPad Air (2024), a 12MP ultrawide camera in landscape orientation, Apple Pencil Pro support, and various other enhancements.
In addition to the iPad mini 7, Gurman anticipates the announcement of new Macs equipped with variations of the M4 chip. These could include updated versions of the MacBook Pro, iMac mini, and iMac mini, offering a glimpse of Apple’s upcoming product lineup.
Although Gurman’s article did not mention updates to the regular iPad, it’s reasonable to assume that Apple will also unveil enhancements for the device, given its track record of regular updates.
Furthermore, the launch of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 is expected before the end of October, possibly aligning with the release of the iPad mini 7. These updates are likely to introduce Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools, powered by AI to aid in tasks like summarization, proofreading, and style adjustments, with more Apple Intelligence components on the horizon.
