The regular split has come to an end, and now it’s time for the top eight teams to battle it out in the LEC 2024 winter playoffs.

LEC 2024 Winter Playoffs – Introduction
This year, Riot Games has made changes to the structure by combining the group stage and playoff stage into one large bracket. While the playoff bracket is larger and will last longer, the number of matches remains largely the same.
Participating teams in the LEC 2024 Winter Playoffs:
- #1 seed: G2 Esports
- #2 seed: Team BDS
- #3 seed: SK Gaming
- #4 seed: MAD Lions KOI
- #5 seed: Fnatic
- #6 seed: Team Vitality
- #7 seed: Team Heretics
- #8 seed: GIANTX
In the first split of 2024, G2 and Team BDS led the standings, with a tightly packed field from 3rd to 8th place. Due to the limited time to adapt to the new season, the regular split was quite chaotic, with G2 and BDS being the most consistent performers. With more time to prepare for playoffs, we anticipate a wider gap developing, especially with the introduction of Bo3 and Bo5 matches.
The format of the playoffs will be a double elimination bracket, with Round 1 and Round 2 played in Bo3 format. The rest of the matches will be Bo5s. Round 1 will commence on February 3, and the final will take place on Sunday, February 18.
Teams will earn championship points based on their finishing position, and the winner of the split will secure direct access to MSI 2024 in China, along with a €40,000 prize pool.
