Following Shaquille O’Neal’s crossover, Stephen A. Smith playfully teased his own potential crossover skin in Fortnite, showing his interest in being a part of the popular game. Despite not having any real connection to Fortnite, the sports analyst humorously hinted at the idea of seeing himself in the game.
While it may seem unlikely for the well-known ESPN employee to ever be featured in the metaverse, it’s not entirely impossible. Epic Games has collaborated with various real-life personalities who had no prior connection to Fortnite, such as Chloe Kim, Patrick Mahomes, and Khaby Lame. Regardless, Smith amusingly teased his own hypothetical crossover.
Fortnite Stephen A. Smith Skin Teased
Stephen A. Smith humorously posted a photoshopped teaser on his X page, featuring himself floating down with a parachute over Tilted Towers, a well-known location in Fortnite. This teaser came right after the announcement of Shaq’s skin, with Smith cheekily captioning it as “Next up.”
While this may just be a playful joke, it’s interesting to see Smith show some interest in potentially being part of the game. He once jokingly answered where to drop in Fortnite, which could have sparked this playful interaction.
If by any chance Smith were to become an Icon Skin in Fortnite, he would join the ranks of celebrities like Shaq, Ninja, Harry Kane, Marshmello, The Weeknd, and many others.
Although fans responding to Smith’s tweet didn’t seem to take it seriously, Epic Games has surprised players before with unexpected collaborations, so a Stephen A. Smith Fortnite crossover may not be entirely out of the question in the future.
Currently, there are no concrete plans for Smith to join the Fortnite universe like his colleague Shaq. However, the playful banter and interest from Smith add a fun twist to the possibility of seeing him in the game in the future.
