Ubisoft recently announced a new short-term roadmap for Star Wars Outlaws after acknowledging a softer-than-expected launch due to weaker sales. The company plans to implement updates to enhance the game and improve the player experience, aiming for better sales during the upcoming holiday season.
Following the announcement in a statement to investors, Ubisoft outlined the roadmap on X (formerly Twitter), focusing on initial bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and the release of the first story pack, Wild Card, on November 21. Additional updates are planned post-launch, including combat and stealth enhancements and new contracts for hero Kay Vess.
The development team expressed their dedication to addressing feedback and providing new content with more updates in the pipeline in the coming weeks.

Star Wars Outlaws received mixed reviews upon its August launch, with praise for its world design but criticism for lacking depth compared to other titles in the franchise and Ubisoft’s RPGs. Players noted issues with stealth gameplay, performance, and the need for updates since release.
In response, Ubisoft delayed the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows to February 14, 2025, to ensure optimal quality. Additionally, both Shadows and Outlaws will be playable on Steam for PC players. The company also decided to remove the season pass model for Assassin’s Creed Shadows after backlash over the pricing and content of Outlaws‘s season pass.
CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed plans for a company-wide audit to adopt a more player-centric development approach.
