Blasphemous recently celebrated its fifth anniversary on September 10 and to commemorate this milestone, the developers have announced the upcoming release of the game on mobile platforms.
While Blasphemous is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch, it will be launching on iOS and Android on February 24, 2025, priced at $8. Preorders are now open on the Apple App Store, and pre-registration is available on the Google Play Store.
The mobile version of the game will support both touchscreen controls and game controllers, offering the base game along with all DLC expansions. While the expansions were initially released for free, having them bundled together is a convenient option.
The developers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement, stating, “After years of fan requests, you’ll soon be able to carry the dark and brutal world of Cvstodia in your pocket!” They also released a trailer to accompany the announcement.
Blasphemous is known for its challenging gameplay, Gothic aesthetic, and religious themes, drawing comparisons to titles like Bloodborne and Dark Souls. To enhance the gaming experience, players are encouraged to use a Bluetooth game controller with their mobile device.
Since its initial release in 2019, The Game Kitchen has also launched Blasphemous 2, a sequel that stays true to the original game’s formula, providing another dose of challenging gameplay for fans.
