Apple Music proudly offers lossless and hi-res audio tracks, but when using an iPhone with wireless earbuds or headphones, the audio quality is compromised due to limited Bluetooth codec support. The iPhone only supports SBC and AAC codecs, which cannot fully transmit Apple Music’s high-quality audio.
Fiio’s new BT11 USB-C Bluetooth transmitter solves this issue by providing support for premium Bluetooth codecs like Sony’s LDAC and Qualcomm’s aptX codec family. The BT-11 will be available in black and silver colors starting October 8 for $44.
The BT11 is not restricted to iPhone users; it benefits Android phones, laptops (with a USB-A to USB-C adapter), Nintendo Switch, and Sony PlayStation 5 users. It enhances the audio experience for wireless hi-res audio gear like Sony headphones and earbuds using LDAC.
For users with wireless earbuds supporting aptX Lossless, the BT11 becomes an essential audio accessory, offering compatibility with Bluetooth 5.4 and LE Audio. The transmitter’s PDS antenna improves Bluetooth range, and its LED indicator displays the active codec.
Despite its codec capabilities, the BT11 may block adjacent ports on some devices and lacks AAC compatibility. Overall, it’s a valuable tool for audiophiles seeking improved audio quality on various devices.
