PlayStation announced Ghost of Tsushima’s sequel at the end of today’s State of Play. It is called Ghost of Yōtei.
The first Ghost of Tsushima came out for PlayStation 4. Developed by Sucker Punch, the open world game won acclaim thanks to its historic Japanese setting and fluid action.
The sequel, as the name implies, takes place in the area in Japan around Mount Yōtei. It also stars a new female protagonist named Atsu and takes place in 1603, over 300 years after its predecessor. It is coming out in 2025 for PlayStation 5.
PlayStation did not have much set for 2025, so Ghost of Yōtei is now the biggest PS5 game planned for the year.
