Microsoft has recently unveiled a new series of transparent controllers available for preorder, following the success of its Sky Cipher special edition Xbox Wireless Controller.
The Cipher Series Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is offered in six vibrant color options. The transparent white Ghost Cipher is joined by Velocity Cipher, Astral Cipher, Surf Cipher, Candy Cipher, and Pulse Cipher in Xbox green, purple, blue, pink, and red, respectively. You have the freedom to customize the D-pad, buttons, joysticks, and triggers with different colors using the Design Lab. The base model is priced at $150, but watch out for additional add-ons that might increase the total cost.
For gamers looking for more control over their gameplay, Xbox is also introducing chromatic D-pad and paddles in Energy Chroma (blue) and Sunset Chroma (yellow). These accessories cater to competitive players and shooters seeking a competitive edge.
If the Elite controller is out of your budget range, Xbox also offers a Ghost Cipher version of the regular Xbox controller reminiscent of the Sky Cipher design but in white with copper-colored triggers and D-pad. The Ghost Cipher special edition wireless controller is priced at $70 and can be preordered now for release on October 8.
Xbox’s new series continues the trend of transparency in accessory designs, with each controller featuring a transparent case and black grips. While the transparency may not extend to the back as some might expect, it is still a visually striking design choice.
