Prepare for a potential price increase in the Samsung FE lineup with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy S24 FE.
Reports from SmartPrix suggest that the Galaxy S24 FE will hit the market at $649 in the United States, marking a $50 jump from its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE. Renowned leaker @OnLeaks indicates that the base model S24 FE with 128GB will start at $649, while the 256GB variant will be priced at $709.
Although the price increase is not substantial, the appeal of these phones has been their affordability compared to the main Galaxy S lineup. While they still offer a lower-cost option, some of that allure may diminish with the higher price point. This adjustment aligns with Samsung’s trend this year of elevating the prices of its flagship phones, such as the S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6.
Much information has already surfaced about the S24 FE, hinting at a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, supported by Samsung’s Exynos 2400e processor. The phone is expected to feature an aluminum frame, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50MP primary camera.
Rumors also suggest a robust 4,565mAh battery in the S24 FE, providing up to 78 hours of battery life between charges. In addition, leaks mention color options including black, gray, light blue, light green, and yellow, likely to be accompanied by unique names upon release.
An imminent launch in Vietnam indicates a forthcoming release in the U.S., promising an impressive seven years of software updates and positioning the S24 FE as a compelling choice despite its shift from a budget to a midrange price point.
