Stardew Valley fans on mobile and console can rejoice as the highly anticipated 1.6 update is set to release on November 4, according to a confirmation from game creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone in a recent announcement on X (formerly Twitter).
The 1.6 update, which arrived on PC back in March, is one of the largest updates for the beloved farming and life simulation game since 2020. It introduces more late-game content, new festivals, characters, and surprises for veteran players.

Barone has reassured fans that the update will be coming to consoles and mobile devices, including the Nintendo Switch, after a longer than expected delay. While also providing updates on his upcoming game project, Haunted Chocolatier, Barone focused on completing update 1.6.
Explaining the delay in console and mobile release, Barone shared in a follow-up post that he uses the PC release as a “beta test” to ensure there are no critical bugs that could affect console players.
While there is still a wait for mobile and console players, Barone encourages starting a new game with the new Meadowlands Farm type in update 1.6 and exploring all the new additions and surprises that await.
