OG has announced a temporary Dota 2 roster for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 qualifiers, featuring an unexpected stand-in.
The temporary stand-in is Nuengnara “23” Teeramahanon, also known as 23savage, a Southeast Asian superstar with experience playing for non-SEA teams.
Team OG’s (Temporary) Dota 2 Roster
Following the International 2024, OG bid farewell to two players, Enzo “Timado” Gianoli and Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov. Timado will be joining Shopify Rebellion, while BZM has been moved to inactive status.
Shortly after, OG revealed their upcoming Dota 2 roster, including 23 and Leon “Nine” Kirilin. The combination of 23 and TI11 Champion, Nine, has raised expectations for OG’s performance in the Western Europe qualifier of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
Although fans are thrilled to see 23 in OG’s lineup, it’s important to note that this arrangement may only be temporary.
Challenges of Post-TI Roster Lock
Team OG is not the only one hurriedly assembling a temporary roster for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Qualifiers.
Other teams, like Talon Esports and Natus Vincere, have also made roster changes for upcoming qualifiers. Cloud9, on the other hand, disbanded and withdrew from the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Qualifier due to the tight roster deadline.
With a lack of regulation by Valve on the Dota 2 Esports calendar, tournament organizers are packing the new season with qualifiers and events. While early tournament participation is crucial for future invites, rushed roster finalizations can lead to issues.
