There has been a steady influx of fish-tank-style PC cases over the years, with top contenders like Lian Li’s original PC-O11 case and now, Asus’s TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon joining the mix.
Similar to the popular O11 series, the GT502 Horizon boasts a dual-chamber layout. The front chamber houses key components like the motherboard, CPU, and GPU, while the back chamber accommodates the PSU, storage drives, and extra cooling components for improved organization and airflow.
The GT502 Horizon is a refreshed version of the original GT502 mid-tower case. It now provides a more open view of the system’s interior by eliminating the front pillar that separated the front and side glass panels. This change allows for a seamless display wrapping around the case.
To maintain structural stability without the front pillar, Asus has added reinforcement, enabling the case to support up to 66 pounds from above. Additionally, the case retains sturdy fabric handles for easy transport.
Offered in Classic Black and Snowy White, the GT502 Horizon comes with color-matched modular cables for a cohesive look. For RGB enthusiasts, Asus offers a custom ARGB lighting kit with L-shaped light bars that enhance the RGB illumination and integrate with Asus’ Aura Sync RGB ecosystem.
The GT502 Horizon offers ample space for cooling and cable management, supporting up to 13 fans across different racks. The case includes fan racks at the top, bottom, side, and rear chamber, suitable for mounting radiators as well.
Featuring mesh panels for proper ventilation, the GT502 Horizon has three distinct ventilation zones for optimized cooling efficiency. The case supports full-size ATX motherboards, various components sizes, and multiple drive bays for storage.
The front I/O panel boasts convenient ports and an LED control button for lighting adjustments. Asus has yet to disclose the pricing, but it is estimated to fall within the $150 to $200 range.
