A recent leak has revealed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 will only support 25W charging, while the Galaxy S25 Plus will have 45W fast charging capabilities. These specifications are consistent with the previous models, the S24 and S24 Plus.
While the difference in charge times between a 25W and 45W charger for a full charge might not be significant, the real benefit of faster charging speeds is noticeable when you need to quickly top up your battery. Charging at 45W can provide a substantial increase in battery power in a short amount of time, allowing you to quickly get a significant charge before heading out.
It is disappointing that Samsung has not upgraded the base charging capabilities of its latest phones, especially when compared to other Android devices on the market. Competitors like OnePlus and Motorola offer much higher charging speeds, making Samsung’s fast charging seem slow in comparison.
Despite this setback, the Samsung Galaxy S25 still offers a lot of exciting features that make it a compelling choice. We are eagerly anticipating its launch and look forward to experiencing all that it has to offer.
