Disney Mirrorverse, Kabam’s mobile and PC action RPG, will be shutting down two and a half years after its global launch in June 2022.
Effective immediately, all in-app purchases have been disabled and the game is no longer available for download.
Servers will continue to operate for existing players with the game installed until December 16th, 2024.
No specific reason was given for the cancellation of the game in a statement issued by the company.
Drop in Revenue
Disney Mirrorverse, launched in June 2022, was an action RPG that featured characters from various Disney and Pixar franchises, including Toy Story, The Lion King, Aladdin, Frozen, Mickey Mouse, and more.
Based on estimates from AppMagic, Disney Mirrorverse has generated $34.1 million in total gross revenue ($23.9 million net) on mobile platforms.
Player spending reached its peak at $5.8 million in July 2022, but sharply declined to $2.7 million the following month. By August 2024, the game only brought in $273,000 for the month.
