Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game involves categorizing 16 words into four secret groups by deciphering their connections. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can track your streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. Answers are provided at the end if needed.
How to Play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words that must be sorted into four sets of four by identifying their connections. These connections can range from video game titles to shades of color or chain restaurant names.
While some words may fit multiple themes, only one answer is correct. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help identify the connections more easily.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest and purple the most challenging.
Pick four words, submit your guess. Correct guesses remove the words and reveal the theme, while wrong guesses count as mistakes with only four allowed before the game ends.
