Fortnite enthusiasts were recently teased with the possibility of a new Icon Series skin, and the highly anticipated Rubius skin has finally made its debut in the game. El Rubius, a popular Spanish content creator known for his Fortnite gameplay, is now immortalized in the game with his very own Icon outfit. He joins the ranks of other prominent content creators such as Ninja, Lazarbeam, and SypherPK, who have also been honored with their own skins over the years.

How to Get Rubius Skin Fortnite
Fortnite players have the opportunity to acquire the El Rubius skin for free by participating in a special cup event on September 21st. Other rewards will also be up for grabs during the event, but the chance to unlock a new skin at no cost is the main highlight. Epic Games has previously organized similar events for skins like J Balvin, Gamora, and Wonder Woman.
For those who are unable to participate or do not secure the skin through the event, the Rubius skin will later become available in the Item Shop. It is expected to be released on September 25th as part of a bundle priced at 2,400 V-Bucks. The skin features two variants, including a cat-like design. The bundle also includes a pickaxe, loading screen, back bling, emote, and a LEGO variant for the skin.
In addition to the Rubius skin, Fortnite offers a wide range of cosmetics. Spanish players were recently able to obtain an exclusive emoticon and other rewards for free during a Twitch stream. Leaker HYPEX revealed that limited rewards were distributed to viewers in Spain during a live stream on September 15, although this promotion has now concluded.
The duration of the Rubius skin’s availability in the Item Shop remains uncertain. Nevertheless, players who miss out on the tournament can still purchase the skin later on. This collaboration with El Rubius is just one of the exciting partnerships that Epic Games has planned for Fortnite in the coming months.
