Valve’s popular MOBA game, Dota 2, is introducing a new hero named Kez, the Hero of the Revolution, who will be a bird samurai. This exciting announcement came during TI13, The International 2024, right after the Short Film Contest.
Kez, the head of the Kazurai order and leader of the flightless, is set to join the roster of playable characters in Dota 2. The release of the new hero will coincide with Crownfall Act 4, which is expected to launch later this month (keep an eye out for the exact release date).
Details about Kez are still scarce, but rumors about this Bird Samurai have been circulating for some time, alongside leaks about other upcoming heroes. Initial impressions suggest that Kez will likely be a Strength or Agility melee hero with a focus on mobility and hit-and-run tactics, though this is purely speculative at this point!
Kez Release Date
Kez is expected to be released in Dota 2 as part of Crownfall Act 4. While the exact release date is not confirmed, it is anticipated to be in late September, with September 24 being a possible date to mark on your calendar.
Kez Lore – Dota 2 Hero
Kez’s story is intertwined with the ongoing events of the Crownfall special event in Dota 2. Queen Imperia’s ban on the worship of the goddess Scree’Auk has led to a rebellion, with Scree’Auk empowering Dragonus (Skywrath Mage) and Shen (Vengeful Spirit) to lead the fight against the tyrannical queen.
To succeed, they must rally the Flightless, a marginalized group in the world of Dota 2 who are unable to fly. Despite their oppression, Scree’Auk still watches over them.
Kez, as the leader of the flightless and the Kazurai order, seems to have taken over from the previous leaders, Kraw and Kestral.
Stay tuned for more information on Kez as we uncover more details and delve deeper into the lore surrounding this new hero!
