In the past week, I have had the unfortunate and fortunate circumstance to interact with my entire social network, including people from my personal and work life. It’s funny to think that we often consider social network messages as trivial. Of all the threads I’ve ever written, the latest social network threads I’m about to share have left an indelible mark on me, much like a water drop sending ripples across a still pond.
I’m grateful for the outpouring of support and kind comments I’ve received since sharing the news. It’s comforting to discover that there are people in my community who are lurking out there in a good way, just beyond my vision, on the edge of my network. I can’t see them, but when something significant happens in my social life, like the death of a mother, it’s like a tingle on a spider web, vibrating enough to summon the entire network to share in my sorrow.
