Fate Trigger: The Novita is an exciting new battle royale game developed by Saroasis, a Chinese studio consisting of developers who have previously worked on popular titles like Call of Duty and Apex Legends, in collaboration with Tencent. The game is free to play and will be available on PC, consoles, and mobile.
Upon witnessing a gameplay session of Fate Trigger: The Novita, it became evident that the game offers a blend of features from Fortnite and Valorant with a captivating anime aesthetic. Players engage in battles to emerge as the last survivor on a map with a shrinking safe zone. In Fate Trigger, verticality plays a significant role as the map consists of three floating islands that players can navigate by gliding or riding a flying car between.
The shooting mechanics in Fate Trigger are tactical and reminiscent of games like Valorant rather than Fortnite. Players select characters with unique abilities, some of which include smokescreens and elemental walls similar to skills in Valorant, while others offer more unconventional abilities like building defenses or manipulating water streams to enhance movement.
Fate Trigger: The Novita adopts a free-to-play model with a focus on cosmetic microtransactions. This approach ensures that the game’s progression systems and balance remain unaffected. The developers have also pledged to prioritize fair competitive play and implement a robust AI-driven anti-cheat system.
Fate Trigger: The Novita is set for a global release on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile in the third quarter of 2025. The first PC closed alpha will commence on September 25, coinciding with an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show.
