The iPhone 16’s Lack of 120Hz Display
While the iPhone 13 Pro introduced a 120Hz ProMotion display, the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are still stuck with a 60Hz refresh rate. In a time when many Android phones offer higher refresh rates even in budget-friendly models, Apple charging a premium for a phone with only 60Hz in 2024 is disappointing.
It’s time for Apple to consider upgrading the refresh rate to at least 90Hz if not 120Hz with the iPhone 17. In today’s tech landscape, 60Hz feels outdated.
Telephoto Camera Upgrades
Despite the improved periscope camera in the iPhone 16 Pro, the lack of a megapixel increase in the telephoto lens is a missed opportunity. While other flagship phones offer higher megapixel counts and better zoom capabilities, Apple’s choice to focus only on the ultrawide lens feels uninspired.
Enhancements in both the megapixel count and digital zoom capabilities would have been welcomed additions to the iPhone 16 Pro’s camera setup.
Uninspiring Pro Colors

While the introduction of Camera Control is a notable addition, the absence of Touch ID on the iPhone 16 series raises questions. With many Android phones offering both face unlock and fingerprint sensors, Apple’s reluctance to bring back Touch ID is surprising.
Implementing Touch ID alongside Face ID could provide users with an additional layer of security and convenience. Apple should consider reintroducing Touch ID in future iPhone models.
