The Dishonored series has always been beloved by critics and has a dedicated fan base. With the release of Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider in 2017, the franchise gained popularity. However, after remaining dormant for some time, fans feared they would never see a continuation of the story in Dunwall. The shutdown of Arkane Austin in 2024 added to this uncertainty, but hope was revived when leaked court documents related to the Activision purchase by Xbox hinted at the existence of Dishonored 3.
Release Window
Leaked documents suggest that Dishonored 3 is planned for a “FY24E” release, which translates to Fiscal Year 2024 between April 2024 and March 2025. Given the lack of an official announcement close to this timeframe, it is likely that the release has been pushed back to a later date.
Platforms
While not confirmed, it is expected that Dishonored 3 will be an Xbox console exclusive with a PC port due to Xbox’s ownership of publisher Bethesda. It may eventually become available on other platforms, including PS5, as Xbox games expand their reach. Additionally, it is likely to be offered as a day one Game Pass title.

As the existence of Dishonored 3 has not been publicly acknowledged, no marketing materials or trailers currently exist for the game.
