Get ready for the ultimate non-competitive showdown at the LoL Caster & Host Championship 2024, a highly anticipated event that attracts a large following.
LoL Caster & Host Championship – An Exciting Event
China has a strong esports community, especially in the realm of LoL. The League of Legends Caster & Host Championship (英雄联盟解说主持杯 in Chinese) caters to the casters and hosts of various competitive esports titles, including LPL, LDL, LCK (Mandarin), WRL.A (Wild Rift). VCT China casters are notably absent this year.
Format and Schedule
The tournament features 9 teams, each led by a captain who selects their players. Running from September 6 to September 22, the event is divided into a group stage and a Knockout stage.
Group Stage
In the group stage, teams compete in a single round robin with Bo1 matches. The top six teams progress to the knockouts:
- The top 2 teams advance to Semifinals
- Teams ranked 3rd to 6th play in the first round of the knockout stage
In case of a tiebreaker, the order is determined by games differential and head-to-head results.
Knockout Stage
The top 4 teams compete in a double-elimination bracket in offline matches using a Bo5 format. This year, a new twist includes team leaders playing in Fearless Draft Mode, restricting them from using a champion more than once per series.
