Players are exploring Xbox Game Pass following the launch of the new Xbox Game Pass Standard tier. However, they have noticed that some significant titles are missing from this tier, including ones that were previously available before the switch in Xbox’s payment structure.
Xbox has shared a post explaining the new Game Pass plans. Interested in multiplayer only? Opt for Game Pass Core. Want games on your PC? Go for PC Game Pass. Game Pass Standard, which was initially confusing, caters to those looking to enhance their Xbox console gaming experience at a reasonable price. It is priced at $15 per month, compared to Ultimate’s $20 per month.
With the launch, there is a revised online catalog. Users have been exploring what is missing in the Standard tier (via Kotaku). By visiting the Xbox website, users can view games sorted by membership. Selecting Game Pass Standard reveals 370 games currently available, compared to Ultimate’s 508.
As expected, only the Ultimate tier will receive day-one launches. Titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are exclusive to Ultimate. However, Standard is missing some first-party titles like Starfield, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Diablo 4, Forza Motorsport, Valorant, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. There are still first-party titles available in Standard, such as Minecraft and its spinoffs, Pentiment, Prey, the Dishonored games, and Psychonauts games.
Additionally, recent third-party titles added to the service are not available in Standard yet, including Age of Mythology: Retold, Still Wakes the Deep, Star Trucker, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. Xbox has not specified when day-one launches will be added to Standard, mentioning that it could be “up to 12 months late or more.” Cloud gaming is exclusive to the Ultimate tier.
