Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by discerning how the words relate to each other. Each new puzzle resets at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, allowing players to track their winning streak and compare scores with friends, much like the popular game Wordle.

How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to various themes like video game titles, book series sequels, colors, or restaurant names.
Sometimes, words may seem to fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Guess incorrectly, and it will count as a mistake. You have only four mistakes before the game ends.
