Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by determining how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight, with varying levels of difficulty in each new puzzle. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re stuck on today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, the answers are provided at the end.
How to Play Connections
In Connections, you will see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game franchise titles, book series sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, and more.
Some words may seem to fit multiple themes, but only one answer is completely correct. You have the option to shuffle and rearrange the words to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, starting with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and hit Submit. Correct guesses will remove the words from the grid and reveal the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and you have a limit of four mistakes before the game ends.
