Fortnite’s Chapter 5 has been underway for a few weeks, and now it’s time to get serious with the start of the FNCS 2024 season! This weekend marks the beginning of the FNCS 2024 Major 1 Qualifiers, giving players their first shot at climbing the leaderboard and staking their claim for the season. Wondering how it’s all going to unfold and how you can stay up-to-date with the new FNCS season?
The FNCS 2024 Major 1 Qualifiers will launch the Fortnite Champion Series for the Chapter 5 season. This year, the series is split into three Majors, culminating in a Grand Royale. The qualification process for these Majors has undergone significant changes this season, featuring a slightly longer procedure that could impact both competitors and fans tracking the leading teams. Here’s a preview of what to expect as the action kicks off this weekend:
FNCS 2024 Major 1 Qualifiers Begin
While the FNCS stands as the premier tier of Fortnite esports, it all starts with entirely open tournaments. Players from around the world can participate in the qualifiers, where they will endure a challenging 5 weeks of competition to advance. The new qualification format extends the process, providing an in-depth journey for participants.
The action commences this weekend, as players engage in three consecutive days of competition. This will be followed by a second week of qualifiers the following weekend. A two-week break will ensue, leading up to the Semi Finals and Grand Finals for the FNCS 2024 Major 1 Qualifiers.
To partake in the qualifiers, players must be in Platinum I or higher for Battle Royale. Unfortunately, the FNCS does not cater to Zero Builds, only Builds. Once through the qualifiers, players must secure a top spot on the leaderboard to progress to the Semis.
When Are the FNCS Qualifiers?
The schedule for the FNCS 2024 Major 1 qualifiers remains the same for participants and fans following their favorite Fortnite streamers. The following are the key sessions:
- Qualifier 1 Round 1 – Jan 26
- Round 2 – Jan 27
- Round 3 – Jan 28
- Qualifier 2 Round 1 – Feb 2
- Round 2 – Feb 3
- Round 3 – Feb 3
- Round 4 – Feb 4
These upcoming sessions are open to all players who wish to participate. Since these events are more open in nature, streaming may be a bit more complex due to the large number of lobbies. Fans of specific players are encouraged to watch their chosen competitor’s stream. As the competition progresses to the Semis, official streams will become more accessible for those looking to stay engaged with Fortnite esports during the new FNCS.
