A new feature introduced in September allows players to transform into a Marvel Villain in Fortnite, granting them powerful attacks and a replenishing pool of health. The Fortnite Doom spawn rate has been increased recently, making it easier for players to experience this transformation.
Leading up to the FNCS Global Championship, Epic showcased the transformation in-game and addressed the issue of it being too rare. Now, players have a better chance of becoming Doom in Fortnite thanks to the boosted spawn rate.

Fortnite Doom Spawn Rate Boosted for the Weekend
Initially, the Doom feature was rare, with only a 5% chance of appearing in games. This meant that many players never had the opportunity to experience it. However, Epic has increased the Fortnite Doom spawn rate for one weekend to 12%, giving players a better chance of encountering the Cauldron and transforming into Doom.
From September 6-8th, players will have a higher chance of becoming Doom in every game. It’s a significant increase from the previous rate, providing players with a unique gameplay experience.
If you want to try out the Doom feature, now is the time to do so before the spawn rate reverts back to being lower.
How to be Doom in Fortnite
If you’re lucky enough to encounter the Doom island, here’s how you can transform into Doom:
- Wait for the rift in POI to appear
- If it leads to the Doom island, make your way there
- Interact with the cauldron to become Doom
