While much of the focus may be on the iPhone 16 series, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 10 is also expected to make an appearance at the special Apple event on Monday. Details have been scarce about this 10th-generation watch series, but recent leaks have shed some light on what to expect.
Renowned leaker Majin Bu recently shared 10 new insights about the Series 10 on social media, sourced from reliable channels. These revelations, previously unreported, indicate that Apple is keen on emphasizing the significance of this being the 10th-anniversary Apple Watch model.
According to Bu’s leaks, the Series 10 models are likely to come in larger sizes of 42mm and 46mm, a departure from the 41mm and 45mm sizes of the Series 7. While the display sizes are expected to remain curved, rumors of a shift to a flat display like the Apple Watch Ultra series seem to have been reconsidered during the design phase.
The Series 10 is also said to feature a slightly larger angle and a more rounded overall shape to match the watch band, with a thinner watch body for added comfort.
Returning to its roots, the Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to reintroduce ceramic as a material option, with the Milanese Loop band getting a titanium makeover for the first time. Titanium is set to replace stainless steel as a premium option, coming in new colors like gold, black, starlight, and the signature hue from the Apple Watch Ultra series.
Among the new changes, the aluminum variant is predicted to remain the most affordable option, while a dual-speaker design akin to the Apple Watch Ultra’s is expected for the Series 10.
While these leaks provide tantalizing details, there’s always a chance they may pertain to the rumored Apple Watch Ultra 3 rather than the Series 10. The full truth will be revealed come Monday when Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” event kicks off at 10 a.m. PT on September 9th.
Stay tuned for updates on the new iPhones, AirPods, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and watchOS 11, as Apple gears up for an eventful launch.
