Apple has officially announced the date of its upcoming fall event called “Glowtime.” The event is scheduled to take place on September 9th at Apple Park, marking the 10th anniversary of the original Apple Watch announcement.
This event is highly anticipated, with expectations to unveil the iPhone 16 line, Apple Watch Series 10 (or “X”), and more. Here’s a preview of what we can expect from Apple in less than two weeks.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
First on the list is the iPhone 16 series, starting with the base models iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
The standard iPhone 16 is expected to feature a redesigned camera layout, retaining a dual camera system but with a new vertical pill-shaped camera island. Additional enhancements include a Capture button, a repositioned wireless antenna, and an Action button replacing the silent/ring switch.
The sizes of iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will remain the same at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively, with thinner bezels for a sleeker look.
Specs for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to include an A17 or A18 chip, alongside Apple Intelligence for AI capabilities. Camera upgrades will feature a 48MP primary camera, improved optical zoom, and enhanced low-light performance.
Color options will include standard shades along with vivid blue, green, and pink choices.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to retain their titanium frame design with minimal visual changes. Features include a triple-lens camera system, upgraded display sizes, and potential camera improvements.
