Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a group of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying the relationships between them. Each puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with solving today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you’re still stuck, we’ll reveal today’s answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game franchises, book sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, etc.
Some words may seem like they fit multiple themes, but there’s only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words on the grid to help spot potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Pick four words, submit them, and if correct, they will be removed from the grid with the connecting theme revealed. Guess incorrectly, and it counts as a mistake. You only have four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
