Formovie Technology, a renowned projector maker, has unveiled its latest addition to the lineup – the Formovie Cinema Edge. Priced at $2,500, this ultra short throw (UST) projector offers impressive brightness and color specs, along with Google TV featuring native Netflix integration. For a limited time, the Cinema Edge is available for preorder at a discounted price of $2,100.
Scheduled for release on September 10, the Cinema Edge boasts 1,900 ISO lumens of brightness and a 0.23:1 throw ratio, allowing for a large 100-inch image from just 9 inches away. Moreover, it can project an impressive 150-inch image, surpassing the capabilities of the previous Formovie Theater model.
Featuring Google TV and preloaded Netflix, the Cinema Edge provides convenient access to entertainment content. With three HDMI 2.1 ports, users can easily connect external streaming devices for enhanced viewing experience.
The Formovie Cinema Edge delivers vibrant colors, covering 110% of the Rec. 709 color gamut. It also offers a 3000:1 contrast ratio and HDR10 support, ensuring high-quality visuals for all types of content.
In terms of audio, the Cinema Edge features Dolby Audio and two 15-watt internal speakers with DTS-X support. The inclusion of game mode, with a 4K 60Hz refresh rate and 41.9ms response time, caters to gaming enthusiasts.
Measuring 18 x 12 x 3.5 inches and weighing 15 pounds, the Cinema Edge offers convenient setup features like motorized focus and 8-point keystone correction. Its compact size makes it suitable for various spaces.
Preorders for the Formovie Cinema Edge are now open on the Formovie website at the discounted price of $2,200 until September 10, after which it will retail for $2,500.
