NetEase reported net revenues of $3.5 billion (RMB25.5 billion) in Q2 2024, marking a 6.1% increase compared to the same quarter in 2023.
According to the second quarter 2024 financial report by NetEase, games and related value-added services contributed $2.8 billion (RMB20.1 billion), showcasing a 6.7% growth from the previous year.
Online games accounted for 96.1% of the segment’s net revenues, representing an increase from 95.2% in the previous quarter and 91.7% in Q2 2023.
Mobile games made up 76.4% of online game revenues, slightly lower than the previous quarter’s 78.6% but higher than Q2 2023’s 73.6%.
The gross profit for Q2 2024 reached $2.2 billion (RMB16.0 billion), a decrease from RMB17.0 billion in the previous quarter but an improvement from RMB14.4 billion in the same quarter of 2023.

NetEase CEO William Ding highlighted the company’s strong R&D and operational capabilities, which have led to a diverse and innovative games portfolio. The focus remains on delivering high-quality gaming experiences across various genres and reaching a global audience.
