While many smartphone buyers may overlook color choices knowing they will use a case, some are particular about new colors. For those individuals, there is exciting news.
The recently released HMD Skyline is now available in Blue Topaz, coinciding with HMD’s partnership with FC Barcelona as their official smartphone partner.
Along with introducing the new color for the HMD Skyline, the company also revealed a new feature set to arrive on the device later this year. The Detox Mode will enable users to disable all social media platforms and applications, allowing them to cut back on scrolling and notifications.
The HMD Skyline features a 6.55-inch pOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits peak brightness. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable internal storage, the phone also boasts a 108MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP front camera for selfies.
Our review of the affordable HMD Skyline, priced under $500, highlighted its repairable design, attractive aesthetics, impressive camera capabilities, and Qi wireless charging. It is a solid option for those looking for a mid-priced Android phone.
Adding a third color option is a welcome move, especially since the phone was previously only available in Neon Pink or Twisted Black. The Blue Topaz color maintains the impressive specs of the previous versions while adding a stylish touch to the device.
HMD Global, a Finnish company with the Nokia brand license for smartphones and feature phones, also offers other smartphones like the HMD Vibe.
