Mobile gaming industry veteran Mohamed El Sheakh has recently founded Games Ventures, a company focusing on mobile games in the MENA region to foster growth in the ecosystem.
Games Ventures aims to develop profitable mobile games specific to the Middle East and beyond, utilizing a team of skilled professionals and strategic partnerships alongside both local and global investments.
With extensive experience, Mohamed has previously held key roles at Apple as the Head of App Store for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, in addition to roles at Microsoft and Nokia, where he also invested in and advised numerous startups.
Contributing to the Ecosystem
As part of Games Ventures’ commitment to bolstering the MENA games industry, Mohamed has released the company’s inaugural ‘Middle East Mobile Games Ecosystem Report for August 2024‘.
This report shines a light on the key mobile game developers and publishers driving the MENA region, including VC firms, government initiatives, and prominent games media outlets covering the industry.
