In a surprising turn of events, Team Vitality faced off against Trace Esports in a match that shocked many tournament spectators. Trace Esports, considered an underdog, managed to secure a spot in the playoffs despite only 5% of players picking them in the VALORANT Pick’ems. Talon Esports, on the other hand, fell short in their match against LEVIATAN and had to fight to stay alive in the competition.
The showdown between Team Vitality and Talon Esports was one-sided, with Team Vitality dominating the competition. In the first game on the Lotus map, Team Vitality secured a 13-6 victory with outstanding performances from kicks and trexx. Kicks, with a kill-to-death difference of +13, played a crucial role as the initiator for the team, securing important rounds including a clutch 1v2. The second game on the Sunset map saw Team Vitality continue their dominance, ultimately eliminating Talon Esports from the tournament.

After a disappointing loss to G2 Esports, Paper Rex aimed to bounce back against FUT Esports during Day 8 of VALORANT Champions. Using a different team composition than usual, Paper Rex showcased a strong performance on the Sunset map, securing a 13-11 victory in the first game. In the second game, Paper Rex displayed their versatility by opting for a double initiator team composition and securing a dominant 13-6 win with standout performances from players like Wang Jing “Jinggg” Jie.
