Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by determining their relationships. Each puzzle resets nightly at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streaks and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game titles, book sequels, colors, restaurant names, and more.
Some words may seem to fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle the words and rearrange them to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed from the grid and the connecting theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
